How to Make the Perfect Holiday Coffee Gift Basket

Happy Monday, coffee enthusiasts! Hope your Thanksgiving was all it could be. Now, onward to holiday presents! You know what every coffee lover on your list would appreciate? A coffee infused gift basket, of course! Now, you can always go and buy one from www.peets.com or www.starbucks.com – but I find that making your own is soooo much more gratifying, for both you and the lucky recipient. Not sure where to start or what to include in your basket? Here’s a (hopefully) helpful guide. Happy Holidays!

For the Coffee Snob

Only the best will do here. For this basket, keep it simple and feature select high quality coffee products. Try adding some gourmet beans fresh from Sweet Maria’s, or a high quality burr grinder. Some coffee scented candles should also do the trick. For an added bonus, throw in a nice French Press.

For the Coffee Mom

For the mom who loves coffee, it’s not only a luxury – but a necessity. Treat her to a gift card for her favorite coffee shop, so she can grab coffee on the go. Toss in some chocolate espresso beans, a bag of her favorite seasonal coffee, and of course you can’t go wrong with a coffee mug with the kiddos picture on it!

For the Coffee Dad

You just have to throw in a liquor flavored coffee sampler pack (I’ve done this in the past for other dads – they loved it!). Next, the personalized dad coffee mug – he needs one because mom got one. Lastly, throw in that Kindle he’s wanted, so he can catch up on his morning reading while sipping his coffee.

For the Coffee Student

Students are on a budget, and in dire need of their daily (and late night) caffeine. A gift card to their favorite coffee shop is a must for this basket, firstly. Secondly, a compact coffee machine for use in the dorm is a necessity. Thirdly, thrown in sampler bags of coffee to keep them going. Lastly, muffins, muffins, muffins – they can’t always live on Ramen!

For the Coffee Nature Enthusiast

This basket is all about green coffee products. First stop, a bag of organic coffee. Next, throw in a nice reusable travel coffee mug in there. Top this off with a donation in their name to the Fair Trade Organization – and voila!
