Ybor Coffee-Themed Walking Tour

Gary Mormino, a historian and retired professor from the University of South Florida, will be leading the Ybor City Coffee Experience Walking Tour on November 3rd, focusing on highlighting Ybor City’s coffee and cafe culture. This is all part of Tampa Bay History Center’s efforts of offering a taste of Ybor City’s Latin Roots.

The tour will begin at the history center with a self-guided tour of the exhibit “Coffee: The World in Your Cup.”. This particular exhibit will be running through January 6th, 2013.

Afterwards, Mormino will be taking tourists on a streetcar to experience Cigar City, with stops along the way at the Italian Club and the Arnold Martinez Gallery. Arnold Martinez is a local who’s artistic medium’s include coffee, tea, tobacco, beer, and wine.

The tour is from noon to 5pm on Saturday and costs $40 per person. It will also include stops at the Italian Club cantina, Tre Amici coffee shop, Centennial Park, and Don Vincente hotel.
