There’s a lot of things that make Atlanta one of our favorite city’s, one of them being their dedicated love of great coffee. Atlanta is packed full of small, unique, and bustling cafe’s conveniently nestled on almost every street. And, the great thing about coffee shops here is the sense of community you get as soon as you walk through the door. They don’t call it southern hospitality for nothing! While we have many favorites in this beautiful city, there’s a few that top all the rest. Take a look.

Caribou Coffee in Midtown

Address: 1197 Peachtree Street NE

We’ve never had a bad cup of coffee in this joint. Sure, there are other Caribou locations, but this one has to be our favorite. It’s conveniently located right in the heart of Midtown, the staff is always friendly, the coffee is always  good, and you can mingle with the friendly and diverse local midtownians. Plus, it’s located right across the street from Ansley Mall – one of the best spots in Atlanta for casual shopping and people watching.

Favorite Drink: Cold Press Iced Coffee

Dancing Goats Coffee Bar

The Dancing Goats® Coffee Bar @ Ponce City Market

Address: 650 N Avenue NE

This is their newest location (they also have one in Decatur) and we love it. While we enjoy Dancing Goats overall, this is our favorite location to spend hours in sipping on a brew. We’ve heard some complaints that the space is small and that the noise from the construction next door can be loud, but we think it gives a perfect feel of the city – squeezing in to your local watering hole and hearing the sound of a city constantly renovating itself. The ingredients used in many of their coffee drinks are  fresh and house-made, which  is a big plus, and we can’t forget our favorite part – a manual brew bar that features a great selection of single origin coffees.

Favorite Drink: Anything off the manual brew bar

Address: 510 Flat Shoals Ave SE

This place is all about comfort, which is important, and there’s always a nice mix of people in the joint. Laid back and warm is how we’d describe this coffee shop – like the comfort food of Atlanta coffee shops. They only use fair trade coffee, and all pastries are made locally at Highland Bakery – simply mouthwatering. The baristas are always friendly and helpful, as well.

Favorite Drink: White Chocolate Latte with Almond Milk
