Erin Brodeur has been through a lot lately. The mother of three was diagnosed with a brain malformation, and within the last year underwent two surgeries to correct the problem. This left her unable to drive, with a walking difficulty, and terrible headaches. This is all not to mention losing her job as a nuclear medicine technologist.
Brodeur didn’t let this stop her, though. She missed her community and interacting with people every day. So, sick of being stuck inside she decided to open up a coffee shop. not just any coffee shop, though, a Keurig Coffee shop located in North Attleborough.
With the help of friends and family, she converted an old hobby shop into a new coffee shop, offering fresh coffee, baskets of k- cups for patrons to mix and match to make varieties of their own, and . heavily discounted single serve coffee machines.
People in the town are really loving the coffee shop, too. Says Brodeur “People have already come in and said ‘ Thank God, North really needed this.’ Whether it’s the specialty drinks, relaxing in our homey atmosphere, or doing their coffee shopping here, people sure seem to love it.”
Brodeur continues “North is great because it still has this downtown filled with small businesses. It’s such a supportive community, and I love being a part of it.”
