coffee while driving

InsurancePanda.Com conducted a study recently on the effects coffee has on drivers on the road. They tested drivers in three different ways, all while conducting monotonous and long drives at night; One set of drivers were given caffeinated coffee, another decaf coffee, and another a short nap. Their studies found that caffeinated coffee did a better job of keeping drivers awake than decaf or even the nap. The study tested for abnormal swaying and lateral movements and crossing of traffic lines.

They are wanting to give their research a further quantitative data set, however, and in order to do so that are calling people to fill out their survey on their website. The survey takes about two minutes to complete, and results will be made available next month. Data will be assessed with students from New York University.
