Best Warm Weather Coffee Drinks and How to Make Them

With the weather warming up, it’s time for most of us to make our yearly switch to iced or frozen coffee. Stay caffeinated, stay cool – that’s our motto. To beat the heat, we have here some of our favorite cool coffee drinks and how to make them.

Make-It-Yourself Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups espresso
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • whipped cream (topping)
  • More chocolate syrup for topping

Directions:

1. Brew espresso

2. Add espresso and sugar into blender and blend until mixed well and sugar dissolved.

3. Add milk and chocolate syrup. Continue blending until well mixed.

4. Fill remainder of blender with ice and blend on high until smooth.

5. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

 

Make-It-Yourself Orange Mocha Frappuccino

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz espresso
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tbs. Pectin (found near jell-o at most supermarkets)
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tbs orange zest
  • whipped cream

Directions:

1. Brew espresso

2. Pour espresso into blender and add sugar. Blend until sugar dissolved and mixed well.

3. Add pectin and milk to mixture. Blend until mixed well.

4. Add ice and blend on high until smooth.

5. Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and orange zest.

 

Classic Creamy Iced Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz fresh ground, dark roast, coffee
  • 8 oz water
  • ice
  • Half and Half
  • Sugar as desired

Directions:

1. Brew coffee, preferably in a French press for this recipe.

2. Add as much half and half and sugar as desired to bottom of glass. Stir well to mix.

3. Pour coffee into glass, do not stir.

4. Add ice and straw. Enjoy!
