The k-cup brands we sample don’t often score high in each category across the board, and we don’t expect them to. When it comes to k-cups, it always seems that you’re sacrificing one feature for another. This wasn’t the case when we sampled Angelino’s Coffee – they hit the mark in all five categories.

We chose the variety sample pack to start with. The flavor is often where k-cups can fall short. Aside from weak blends and over-roasting, companies often don’t fill the cups with enough coffee. After brewing in your Keurig, this leaves you with a bland and weak cup of coffee. We didn’t find this to be the case with the Angelino’s samples we tried. We learned that they hand roast all their coffees and blend each coffee after roast, maintaining the best coffee taste profile. Another issue that often presents itself with k-cups is freshness. By the time you’ve selected and purchased your coffee from the store, it’s probably been months since the beans were roasted, ground, and filled into the k-cups. This wasn’t the case in the sample pack that we tried from Angelino’s. Each flavor, while uniquely different, really carried its own weight and was thoroughly enjoyable on its own. With so many coffee companies, the way their site is structured and k-cups are sold can make you want to leave before ever having tried the product. We were pleasantly surprised by Angelino’s website! It was easy to navigate, informative and allowed us to browse and select coffees with ease. While we started initially with the sample pack, we know precisely how to go back and order our favorites.
